Scorpions announced that they’d be calling it quits in 2010, following their final album Sting in the Tail. That album, not to mention their tour that Summer, revitalized the band. Last year, Klaus Meine said in an interview that the album was “such a success that a a whole new generation of fans joined the party. It was amazing. And you know that with all the best parties it’s sometimes hard to find the door?” And while the Scorps might not be retiring, they’re at least turning it down a bit. They just released MTV Unplugged, a DVD and CD of themselves playing with a bit less crunch.
