5. Feist, “Black Tongue” (Mastodon cover)

Feist and Mastodon formed a mutual appreciation society when they both appeared on Later… With Jools HollandThe Canadian songstress and the Georgia prog-metal maestros teamed up for a Record Store Day release, which found the two acts trading off songs. Mastodon’s cover of “A Commotion” is pretty good, but Feist knocks “Black Tongue” from The Hunter out of the park.
