If black is the color of metal, green is certainly the color of stoner rock. New Orleans sludge merchants Soilent Green come immediately to mind as band that shares their name with the color. Then there’s Green Jello, the band whose claymation video (and a little help from Tool’s Maynard James Keenan) put them on the map back in the day. Green is one of the two colors that comprise Baroness’ latest album. High on Fire have a song called “Fertile Green,” and you can’t forget about Kyuss’ “Green Machine,” either. It’s also a pretty popular color for logos, with Overkill and Type O Negative having bright green featured in their logos.
