3. The River’s Edge
This dark 1986 indie drama starring Dennis Hopper, Keanu Reeves and Crispin Glover was based on a true story about a group of teens that find out one of them has killed a girl. The characters debate whether to turn their friend in or protect him.. The long-out-of-print soundtrack is as extreme as the movie, including four Slayer songs, as well as songs from Hallow’s Eve, Fates Warning and Agent Orange.
