Steve Rennie has over thirty years of experience in the music business, including having been a senior VP/GM at Epic Records and currently managing Incubus. His background in the industry led Rennie to develop Renman Music and Business as a web platform for the interactive web show Renman Live! Featuring interviews between Rennie and fellow managers and music execs, the show is designed to give unsigned musicians and beginning industry people the ability to tap into the minds of VPs, Presidents, heads of A&R and others at major music establishments. And to help fund the show’s fourth season, Rennie turned to crowdsourcing and launched an Indiegogo campaign. However, even though crowdfunding has becoming a popular trend with musicians, raising money to help fund something isn’t as easy as it sounds. That’s why we asked Rennie to offer five tips to those who plan on launching a crowdsourcing campaign.
