Seems easy enough on paper putting up a crowdsourcing campaign. But, its not like throwing open your guitar case on the sidewalk, its actually a lot of work. You need a clever video, one that grabs the heart…and hopefully someone’s money too. It has to have the right amount of ‘pro’ but not too much ‘pro’. You need to explain exactly why you need the money and convince folks that you can pull it off. You need to come up with perks that have value to your supporters. Easier said than done. Probably best to treat your pitch video like a single you are taking to radio…four minutes or less so you don’t test anybody’s patience. It took us two weeks to finally agree on something. And then my wife hated it and we changed it again.
