Unsigned & Streamed: Heavy Glow

HeavyGlowCDCoverWhy should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This Ohio trio already has two EPs underneath its belt. However, with their new album Pearls & Swine and Everything Fine, Heavy Glow teamed up with esteemed producer Michael Patterson to create an album that injects an even bigger dose of soul into their 70s influenced heavy rock. Imagine if The Black Keys got infused with classic Deep Purple (somewhere in between Marks II and III, if we want to be more precise), and you might have something similar to Heavy Glow.

Find out for yourself and check out Heavy Glow’s song “45 Shakedown” in the video below. Pearls & Swine and Everything Fine comes out June 3, and can be pre-ordered via the band’s website or Bandcamp page.
