[UPDATE] According to KDVR TV,the 13 year-old has been released, with the suspect, Don Pooley, “not alive.”

Some crazy, out of the blue news. A  13-year-old boy is being held hostage by an armed home intruder in Arvada, Colorado. As it turns out, the teen, who has not been named as of yet, is the son of one of Brian “Head” Welch’s cousins according to a tweet sent out by Welch himself.

The situation started yesterday evening, February 3rd, when the suspect, who has also yet to be named, picked the teen’s home at random and kicked the door in. The teen was unable to escape with the rest of his family and was taken by the suspect who is reportedly armed and has a criminal record.

Well have updates as the situation unfolds. It’s going on 17 hours, so we hope that it’s safely resolved soon.
