It looks like GWAR will be looking for Beefcake the Mighty number five as bassist Jamison Land has decided to leave the band. Land is the fourth person who took on the character of Beefcake when he joined the group in 2011 and worked on albums 2013’s Battle Maximus and 2017’s The Blood of Gods. Casey Orr and Todd Evans have previously portrayed the Beefcake persona as well as current frontman Michael Bishop (Blothar).

While the band hasn’t issued a statement involving Land’s departure, Land has shared the following via his personal Facebook page:

“I’ve parted ways with GWAR. I’m back in KY to spend more time with family and to focus on my driving career. Thank you to all my awesome fans and friends for the past 8 years of support.”
