Announcing Metal Insider’s 2012 CMJ Showcase, With Prong, This Or The Apocalypse, For Sleeping Or Jumping And Eminence!

It’s literally been years since Prong played New York, so you’d think their return would be special. And what’s more special than playing a show on a boat? We’re very proud to announce Metal Insider’s offical CMJ showcase, which will be a Rocks Off Concert Cruise featuring Prong playing alongside This or the Apocalypse, For Sleeping or Jumping and Eminence. The show will take place on Friday, October 19th aboard the Star of Palm Beach, as part of CMJ Music Marathon.

Prong has not played NYC since the release of our latest album Carved Into Stone,” frontman Tommy Victor says. “Actually, we haven’t done a gig anywhere in the five boroughs in a very long time. So I’m happy to announce our return home as we board the Rocks Off Cruise on Oct 19th for the Metal Insider party at CMJ.  The boat rolls out of New York Harbor and from what I hear it’ll be circling the Statue of Liberty while we’re on stage .  What a great way to celebrate our return!”

In addition to Prong, who will be playing in support of Carved Into Stone, this will be the first New York show for Lancaster, PA’s This or the Apocalypse in support of Dead Years, their debut album for eOne Music. Unsigned & Streamed vets For Sleeping Or Jumping, whose EP Dead Languages was co-produced by The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman, and Eminence, a hard-working band from Brazil, round out the lineup.

Tickets are on sale now for the show for just $25. They’ll be $30 day of show, so you might want to buy them now, since it’s not like you’re going to be able to sneak in the back door. You can get them here.
