It was confirmed last month that Dave Grohl’s  Sound City documentary would have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. And as if seeing his directorial debut on the big screen wasn’t enough of a reason to travel to Park City, Utah, it’s now been revealed that Grohl will also be performing at the film festival along with some friends.

Being backed by what’s being dubbed the “Sound City Players,” Grohl and a handful of special guests who appear in the film and soundtrack will perform at Sundance on January 18 at the Park City Live venue. Exactly who will be appearing at the show (besides Grohl, of course) is unknown at the moment. However, given how many big names appear on the soundtrack (including members of Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against The Machine, and many others), the night will surely not disappoint anyone. Although, we already did see Grohl perform one song off the soundtrack with a former Beatle (twice).
