Dream Theater have one of the most devout followings out there, and visitors to their Facebook page were promised a “special gift” when checking back at 6am on Christmas Day. The band delivered big time, posting a complete two-disc compilation of material recorded in 2011 and 2012  available via BitTorrent that didn’t make the cut on their recent live album, Live at Luna Park. With this compilation, fans now have every song they played on the tour with the exception of cover songs.

This was an awesome move by the band. First off, they’ve always encouraged bootlegs, even setting up YtseJam Records to sell “official bootlegs” of their shows. Secondly, they’re a band that thrives in a live setting. Also, they’re about to go on the road in 2014, which this 2-disc compilation is a none-too-subtle reminder of. And lastly, it could encourage those that haven’t picked up Live At Luna Park to do so after hearing this. Scroll down for the release and torrent link:
