In the wake of the cancellation of the Mayhem Festival, a lot more non-traveling festivals are popping up. It’s kind of like the European festivals, in which a band can just play regional festivals instead of going on an actual tour. And along with fests like Chicago Open Air (which just sold out of single day tickets), a new fetival, the Texas Mutiny festival, has been set for Dallas-Fort Worth on September 24th, and the lineup has been revealed today. An official press release promises acts like Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Ghost and Hellyeah on September 24 at the Texas Motor Speedway. Here’s what the press release says.

“AEG Live — producers of many of the most compelling rock festivals in the U.S., including Rock On The Range, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion, Rocklahoma and River City Rockfest — have announced the first annual Texas Mutiny festival, to be held Saturday, September 24 on the outer grounds at Texas Motor Speedway in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.

The newest rock and camping festival to hit the Lone Star State promises a day of absolute music mutiny with over 12 hours of nonstop music on three stages from Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, Chevelle,Pierce The Veil, Hellyeah, Of Mice & Men, Ghost, Candlebox, Nothing More, Starset, The Amity Affliction, Skindred, KYNG, Neck Deep, Shaman’s Harvest, Avatar, Twelve Foot Ninja, September Mourning, and more.

Considering the ongoing success we’ve had in Dallas for years with Edgefest and the new success story this year with Off The Rails, the DFW market is one that is primed and ready for a top-notch hard rock festival,” commented Joe Litvag, Executive Producer of Texas Mutiny for AEG Live. “We’re taking successful components from several of our other similar rock festivals to create an experience for music fans that is uniquely Texas. Our hope is that this is the first step toward establishing a long legacy that rock artists and rock fans in the Lone Star State can call their own!”

Presale will go on sale this Wednesday (4) through Friday at 9:59am here (head to the fest’s social media for a password) and then at 10am on Friday, tickets will go on sale to the general public.
