It’s hard to follow last year’s UK edition of Sonisphere, which saw the Big 4 headlining day one. This year, though, organizers have come pretty damn close to topping themselves. It’s been confirmed that Faith No More, KISS and Queen (featuring Adam Lambert) will be headlining this Summer’s Sonisphere in Knebworth, Herts. Also confirmed to appear at the three day festival are Refused, Mastodon, Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, The Darkness, Gojira, Lacuna Coil, Within Tempation, Andrew WK and many others (with more to be announced).

As cool of a lineup as this is, it’s Faith No More that makes us wish we could be in the UK this Summer. So far, the only other Sonisphere festival they’re confirmed for is in France. Whether FNM announce more plans this Summer is presently unclear (though we can only hope). And while it may not be as metal a lineup as other European festivals like Graspop, Hellfest, or even the other editions of Sonisphere, it’s still a pretty cool and diverse lineup. Maybe Metallica can learn something when booking the remaining bands for Orion.

In case you so happen to be in England this Summer, the UK edition of Sonisphere will be held from July 6-8 at Knebworth, Herts. You can find out more information via the festival’s website.
