Ghost, Jane’s Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers among bands playing Lollapalooza

Posted by on March 23, 2016

LOL2016-Full-Lineup-Admat-V15Last night, Lollapalooza announced their lineup. As is the case since 2005, instead of being a touring festival, it will be held at Chicago’s Grant Park. This year, however, it’s expanded to four days, July 28-31. While there’s usually at least a handful of metal bands playing the alternative festival, it’s in pretty short supply this year, the fest’s 25th anniversary. Ghost will be playing on July 29th, and unless you count Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers as metal (we don’t), that’s about it. However, Radiohead will be making a rare U.S. appearance, and if you’re into electronic music Major Lazer, M83, LCD Soundsystem and Yeasayer are playing. It seems like there’s a lot more developing acts this year. Want a four-day pass? Too bad – they sold out already. However, you can now buy one-day tickets at $120 on the festival’s website. Here, via the Chicago Tribune, are the bands playing by day:
