insane clown posseAccording to the Associated Press, the Insane Clown Posse’s annual Gathering of the Juggalos has found a new home. After spending the last seven at Cave-In-Rock, IL, this year’s Gathering will take place at the CryBaby Campground in Kaiser, MO. The August event was marred by an overdose last year, but there hasn’t been any official reason given for the change of venue. Psychopathic Records spokesman Jason Webber said that the new site will have amenities that Cave-In-Rock lacked, such as cellphone reception and hotels and shops nearby.

Bill Abbott, the sheriff of Miller County where the new site is located, however, seems blissfully unaware of what he’s in store for. “If you’re looking for trouble, you’ll find trouble,” he said. “We don’t want no trouble here whatsoever, and I’m sure they don’t either. We want them to obey the laws and have a good time.” However, he capped that by asking the reporter if the festival would feature Willie Nelson-style music and said he wanted to meet the “main man (organizing the festival) and talk to him.” He might be surprised to find that the “main man” are two clowns. He also said that he didn’t anticipate any problems because Hell’s Angels have had gatherings there before. Even though he’s aware that Juggalos “do a lot of drugs, fighting, stealing,” we’re going to go out on a limb and predict some serious culture shock.

The dates and entertainment haven’t been announced yet.
