Right before 2015 came to an end, rumors started to circulate that the long-rumored Guns N’ Roses reunion would include an appearance at this year’s Coachella. Well, now it’s official: Guns N’ Roses will indeed be performing in Indio, CA, performing at the festival’s April 16 and 23 dates.
It still remains unclear who exactly will be onstage for Guns N’ Roses’ sets. However, the band not only updated its socials with the classic GN’R logo, but also updated its website with the video clip that’s been spotted in movie theaters since Christmas weekend. Only this clip concludes with the hashtag #GNfnR. This seems to imply that there’s plenty more to be announced, or more directly, that at least rumors of Slash and Duff McKagan returning to the fold are true (that, or both Slash and Duff just like to tease fans via social media).
GN’R aren’t the only heavy act appearing on this year’s festival. Also playing Coachella will be Volbeat and Deafheaven, who appear on the bill alongside LCD Soundsystem, Calvin Harris, Ice Cube, Sia, Chvrches, Ellie Goulding, Rancid, Run The Jewels, M83 and many others. Festival passes go on sale Wednesday, January 6 at 11am PST online, and as mentioned, more info about Axl Rose and the gang’s plans for 2016 is likely to be announced very soon.
