louderthanlifeWell, the rumors about Ozzy Osbourne’s return to touring as a solo artist turned out to be false, but the Louder Than Life festival unveiled their lineup today, and the Louisville festival, taking place on October 3 and 4, has a pretty impressive lineup. The festival will take place on four stages this year at Champions Park for the second consecutive year. Rob Zombie, ZZ Top, Godsmack, Shinedown, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Slash are among the headliners.

There are plenty of other heavier bands playing as well, including Atreyu, Sevendust, Skid Row, We Came as Romans, Butcher Babies, Bring me the Horizon,Hollywood Undead, We Are Harlot, Beartooth and more. Like the Rock Allegiance fest in Philly a week later, it also promises “gourmet man food,” which means no girls allowed, apparently. It will also feature a decent amount of the same bands that are playing that festival as well.

Tickets are on sale for the festival now at a discounted rate, as well as VIP, hotel and camping packages through June 26th at the fest’s website. If you’ll be needing a car to head to the festival, check outCheapCarRental.net.

ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons spoke about playing the festival:

We’re amping up about making the show at Louisville’s Louder Than Life. It’s a win/win/win with rockin’ and rollin,’ terrific cuisine, and downright downable drinks. Even while performing we’ll make way to check it out.”

Even the Mayor of Louisville, Greg Fischer, spoke up about the fest:

Louisville is home to some of the world’s best music and food and there’s definitely only one area to come to for bourbon, so where else would you have a festival experience such as Louder Than Life? We’re excited that we can host this great event in such a super venue down by our waterfront and show all the music, food and bourbon fans what our city and people are all about.
