New Marilyn Manson album set to soar

Posted by on September 2, 2014

It was back in early August when Marilyn Manson posted an interesting photo to Instagram (see below), with a cryptic message to go along with it.

“After the puke and shape-shifting. When the broken glass settles. It is no hero. The shots you will hear are from a mouth disguised as a gun. Now I begin.”

Now the shock-rocking Manson has taken to Twitter and announced that the new album, his first since 2012’s Born Villain, “is prepared for landing,” and advises to, “Fasten your seat belts.”

Manson told Kerrang Magazine earlier this year about the new album, saying “it’s very cinematic.” He continues:

“The redneck in me comes out in my voice, and its got some old blues mixed with the very hard elements. I want to retain what I think is good about the past, what music I did and who I am. It’s not about being pissed about the world – it’s about realising someone has to fuck things up.”

Manson has been busy over the past year. He’s been tweeting photos of his appearance on the TV show Sons of Anarchy, where he plays a white supremacist prisoner by the name of Ron Tully, which is quite a difference from his appearance on Eastbound And Down last year.
