Whether you were happy or not about the final results from this year’s Revolver Golden Gods, there’s no denying that the competition was tough for the “Best New Talent” category. That’s why it was a joyous surprise that Twelve Foot Ninja ended up taking home the Golden God. While all the nominees were deserving in their own right, it’s pretty damn awesome that the award went to a rising Australian band that’s been starting to make a big splash in the U.S. (and that’s done so without the support of a North American label).

While we actually accompanied Kin and Stevic to the show in L.A. (more of a recap from that coming soon), we also caught up with them the next day in New York just before they joined their bandmates for a North American tour. Still astonished from everything that occurred within the past 24 hours, the singer and guitarist took a moment and shared with us some of their favorite moments from attending (and winning an award at) the Revolver Golden Gods show.
