Two weeks after his sentencing was postponed, we now know how much time Tim Lambesis will spend in jail for pleading guilty to hiring a hitman to kill his estranged wife. While it’s a little less than what was initially expected, the As I Lay Dying singer will still be behind bars for quite some time.
Lambesis was reportedly sentenced today (May 16) to six years in prison. While details are still emerging, Lambesis’ estranged wife Meggan and the couple’s adopted children also received 10 years’ protection during the sentence, which was handed down by Judge Carlos Armour this morning at a Vista, CA courtroom. It remains unclear as to how soon Lambesis will begin his sentence. The timing of the sentence also couldn’t be more perfect, as Alt Press moments ago posted an exclusive interview where Lambesis publically talks about the events leading up to his arrest for the first time. Although one thing is clear, the remaining members of As I Lay Dying will be focusing on their new band, Wovenwar, for quite some time now.
