ithaca7) Ithaca, Narrow The Way

Dissonant and chaotic, the London-based Ithaca display nods to Dillinger Escape Plan with some Botch-ish tendencies. The five song EP has such gorgeous production and the sort of all over the place breakdown goodness that I love so much.

Key Track: “Burial”

Godflesh-A-World-Lit-Only-by-Fire6) Godflesh, A World Lit Only by Fire

As mechanical and destructive as ever. I tried my best to avoid listening to any preview tracks before this release, knowing full well the album would be worth the wait, and it was.

Key Track: “Obeyed”

hollyhunt5) Holly Hunt, Prometheus

Though technically not an album at just three songs, I’ve had this one repeat for most of the year. Featuring original drummer Beatriz Monteavaro from Floor, Prometheus is two person attack of giant guitars and even bigger drums.

Key Track: “Prometheus”
