Right now, the metal interwebs are abuzz over the news that Angela Gossow has left Arch Enemy. The band’s new vocalist is Alissa White-Gluz, who originally hailed from Canadian act The Agonist. So, of course, The Agonist have announced a replacement for a replacement. The band posted the following on their Facebook page:

Today we announce that after 3 albums and countless tours we officially part ways with vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. We wish Alissa all the best with Arch Enemy and her future endeavors.

It is the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for The Agonist! We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the The Agonist family. Please give a warm welcome to very talented vocalist Vicky Psarakis!

Stay tuned for new The Agonist material coming VERY soon!

You mostly likely don’t recognize Vicky Psarakis’ name, though she has had her share of guest appearances as well as covers posted to Youtube. It looks like the chain reaction of metal musical chairs has ended…for now.
