20 years ago, Fu Manchu’s debut album, No One Rides For Free, was released. And while it was 1994, it might as well have been 1974, given the band’s fuzzy, scuzzy Sabbath-y stoner rock and obsession with cars, surfing, skateboarding and weed. Now the band is back with their first album in five years, Gigantoid, and the AV Club has debuted the first single from their eleventh album.

“Invaders On My Back” is a throwback, which is everything you’d expect from the band given that they’ve sounded anachronistic since their first album. The song is a 2:30 blast of riffage perfect for skateboarding in an empty pool or uphoulstering the walls of your van with shag carpeting. Gigantoid will be out on April 29th on the band’s own At the Dojo. Check out tour dates after the song.
