Footage from official Wacken Open Air stream surfaces on YouTube

Posted by on August 4, 2014

This year’s Wacken Open Air has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to. For those who can’t attend, the festival has begun streaming the festival live, and while there is video filmed, there are people uploading it to the YouTube. As you can see from the above video, Devin Townsend had the crowd participate in a group hug as opposed to a wall of death.

If you’re looking to go next year so that you’re not stuck watching streams like the rest of us, then we’re sad to say that Wacken Open Air 2015 has already sold out. Yes. 75,000 tickets in less than 12 hours. 2014 was a record breaking year where it sold out in less than 48, but at this pace next year won’t make it past 6.
