After vocalist Jill Janus beat uterus cancer she needed some proper rest, so Huntress cancelled their September tour with Avatar and Gemini Syndrome, right before the release of their latest album Static, which came out September 25th. Now, about a month later, vocalist Jill Janus has announced that the band is calling it quits entirely.

Said Janus,

“The end. I told ya the Huntress Trilogy would fulfill my purpose. I’m packing it up. Maiden, Mother, Crone. I struggle through life with Bipolar, Schizophrenia & Dissociative identity disorders. I beat uterine cancer with a devastating hysterectomy. I will continue to create music. On my terms. Fuck the meaningless noise and trolls. My way, forever. Suck it. Done.”

There’s no word if their tour with Black Label Society in December is cancelled, but given the tone of Janus’ post it seems like it just might be.
