Who would have thought the day would come when you’d see Sepultura and Scooby-Doo in the same headline? As it turns out, frontman Derrick Green recently collaborated with former Sepultura drummer Jean Dolabella and Doug Langdale on a song that appears in the animated series’ direct-to-video film Big Top Scooby-Doo! (due out in October). The song, titled “Mysteries. Inc.!,” actually appears twice in the film, during its final scene and ending credits. However, the Sepultura frontman’s vocals can only be heard in the credits.

“This is a song we did for Scooby Doo which I sing on the ending credits. What sucks is they used the same song with different vocals from the voice of one the characters in the cartoon and he sucks badly!!! Just saying,” Green explained via a Facebook posting.

Video of both Green’s version heard in the credits and the version song by the character Wulfric Von Rydingsvard (who in the movie fronts the werewolf-themed band Wülfsmöøon) can be seen above. And no offense to the actor who voiced Rydingsvard, but agree with Green that his version is better. Either way, it’s pretty astonishing that a member of Sepultura can be heard in a Scooby-Doo film at all.

In case you’d want to see what the final scene would look like with Green’s vocals, check out the fan made video after the jump.
