Abigail Williams’ The Accuser will be coming out on October 30th, just in time for Halloween. And today, the band released probably the most approachable song on the album, “Lost Communion,” via No Clean Singing. While it’s still uncompromising black metal from the mind of vocalist/guitarist Ken Sorceron, this track taken from their first album in three years has a swagger to it. At just over four minutes, it’s also one of the shorter songs on the album. Here’s what Sorceron says about it:

This is probably the most straightforward song on the album. It’s restless as we were when we wrote it and it burns like alcohol withdrawal symptoms. It reflects upon burning bridges, dependency, negativity and self-destruction. Wrote this one at a low point but it still fits like a glove.

The current incarnation of the band includes Sorceron as well as Jeff Wilson (Wolvhammer, Chrome Waves, Doomsday, La Chant Funebre), and drummer Charlie Fell (Cobalt, ex-Lord Mantis, ex-Avichi) with recording bassist Will Lindsay (Indian, Lord Mantis, Anatomy Of Habit) and live bassist Micah Leonetti (Wolvhammer). You can catch them on the road with Today is the Day (except for Lindsay, obvi) at the following dates:
