If you are wondering what Ron “Bumblefoot” Thai of Guns N’ Roses would sound like minus GNR, a band called Cilver is giving you a taste.

New York-based Cilver have premiered their debut single “In My Head” featuring Bumblefoot, the current GNR lead guitarist who replaced Buckethead in 2006 and performed on the band’s album, Chinese Democracy. While Cilver, made up of members of Me Talk Pretty, may not follow the same musical threads as GNR, some of the guitar moves are the same. Check them out in the video above.

For the new song, lead singer Uliana Preotu offers an angst that matches the guitar riffs while also providing a dischord between her vocals and lyrical themes of societal pressures to be beautiful, giving the song irony as the lyrics are belted out by the flower of the band. We are hoping the  irony related to Chinese Democracy does not jinx the single’s success.
