Thirty plus years into their career as a band, North Carolina based metal band Corrosion of Conformity is releasing their 9^th album, aptly titled IX, and in anticipation for the release they have made the album available to stream via the AV Club. The preorder comes with a download of the first single “The Nectar”, unlimited steaming of the entire album before its release via the free Bandcamp app, and the full album “the moment it’s released” on July 1st on Candlelight Records. The band’s last, self-titled album, saw the Animosity-era lineup reunite, and it had a hardcore intensity. This one shows a few more signs of sounding like the Blind era, injecting a bit more swagger and melody into the songs while still maintaining intensity.
