The Last Ten Seconds of Life released their Density debut, INVIVO[EXVIVO] last year. It was a solid deathcore album that showed promise, but with their sophomore album, Soulless Hymns, coming out on January 13th, the band have absolutely improved on their last album. The Pennsylvania quartet revealed “North of Corpus,” no doubt a nod to Slayer’s “South of Heaven,” today online, and it’s heavier and more confident than their Density debut.

“We really feel we honed in on our sound with this album,” said guitarist Wyatt McLaughlin. “It has a tenacious heaviness and catchiness that is unlike our previous albums. Sonicall and writing-wise, it is a powerhouse and we can’t wait to unleash it on the world.

We strayed away from our past album are and tried to do something a bit different – a cover that had extreme contrast and was a bit eye-catching. Our inspiration came from Storm Thorgeson who created some of the most iconic album covers of all time. His work is worth checking out.”

Soulless Hymns can be pre-ordered here, and through iTunes.
