You can say this much about Throwdown – they haven’t sold out. For the past 15 years, they’ve remained straight edge, heavy, and concise. With their seventh album, Intolerance, coming out next Tuesday (21), the band have released another track from the album. “Defend With Violence” is a 2:20 blast of riffage. It doesn’t stray too far from the band’s signature sound, nor should it. They even got Zeuss, who produced the band’s Deathless and Vendetta, to return to produce. If you’re not already a fan of the band, this won’t win you over, but if you want catchy, riffy metallic hardcore that you don’t have to think too hard about, then we think you’ll build up an Intolerance pretty quickly.
