If These Trees Could Talk, They’d Be Talking About How Good This Song Is

Since forming in late 2009, boutique label Science of Silence has been making a name for itself among fans of instrumental and post-rock music. The mostly-vinyl label has released music from Hull, Constants, and a split with Monolith and Voyager. On March 20, the label will release the second album from Akron, Ohio-based If These Trees Could Talk, Red Forest. The instrumental band is reminiscent of Russian Circles, Mogwai, and Explosions in the Sky, but put their own ambient spin on things. Rcrdlbl is offering a free taste of the new album via “Barren Lands of a Modern Dinosaur.” Listen, and if you like what you hear (spoiler alert: you probably will), you can preorder the album here or spring for the LP and T-shirt bundle here.
