You’ve got to hand it to Matt Pike and the rest of Sleep, not to mention Third Man Records. They did an amazing job of keeping a secret until, let’s say, at about 20 minutes after 4pm yesterday, when the word traveled like wildfire, or a smoke from a bong hit cough. Yep, today, 4/20, or St. Patrick’s Day for casual pot smokers, we have a brand new album from Sleep. The Sciences is the first full length album from the trio in 15 years, and if you take in the fact that Dopesmoker was recorded 20 years ago, it’s technically their first new music in 20 years. Take that in – High On Fire’s entire career so far has happened in between when they recorded that album and now. And while we’re taking it all in still, it was definitely worth the wait. We don’t need to tell you the right way or state of mind to listen to this, but check it out below, by yourself, or with your best bud.
