We recently got a chance to see Leprous in a relatively rare stateside performance. We were blown away. They filled out at Webster Hall’s Marlin Room like they should have been playing an arena, and not only was their proggy melodic metal spot on live, but with banks of TVs broadcasting visuals as they played, it also looked amazing. We left the show thinking that if more people got a chance to see them live, they’d be a lot more popular than they are. Now they’ll get a chance, as Live at Rockefeller Music Hall will be released on InsideOut on November 25th.

The band’s performance of “Slave” was released today from the show, which was recorded in their hometown of Oslo earlier this year. It’s as good as we remembered it live, and if you’re a fan of the band, or even just brainy, emotional melodic rock, you’ll want to give this a listen. Here’s what the band had to say about it.

“After a year of intense preparations with the production of our upcoming live release, we’re very proud to share a first clip with the world! Leprous has always been a very active live band, and the live sound is a very important part of the band’s identity. The concert at Rockefeller in Oslo was a milestone for us and it perfectly shows what Leprous 2016 is all about.”
Live at Rockefeller Music Hall will be out on November 28th, and can be preordered here. It will be available on DVD+2CD digi, DVD, 2CD and 3LP and 2CD as digital download. CD can be preordered here. Track list after the video.
