After releasing a killer six-song EP, Helium Head back in 2013, Mutoid Man signed to Sargent House and will be releasing a full-length this Summer. The trio, featuring Cave-In’s Stephen Brodsky, Converge drummer Ben Koller (who actually logged time in Cave-In) and Nick Cageao, are currently working on the album at God City Studios. For Decibel, the band  premiered a rough version of a new song, played live. “Bridgeburner” leaves us psyched the full length. The song starts out almost like a straight ahead rock song, with Brodsky’s instantly-recognizable vocals and the killer rhythm section laying down a groove. Then the chorus hits, things go double time, and more or less remain chaotic until the propulsive end.

The band will be playing Saint Vitus Bar (where Cageao is a soundman), this coming Wednesday (11).
