It turns out they do make crossover thrash like they used to. Power Trip’s sophomore full-length is finally coming out in a little over two weeks on Southern Lord, and there’s nothing new about it. In fact, it’s retro as hell. You’ve already heard “Firing Squad” and “Executioner’s Tax” (Swing of the Ax),” and both songs sound like vintage Exodus, but with Jeff Hanneman’s dive bomb guitar squeals. Now they’re back with the title track to Nightmare Logic, and it’s a great one. There’s breakdowns aplenty, too.

Nightmare Logic will be out on February 24th on Southern Lord, and it can be preordered here. The band’s tour with Iron Reagan begins on the day of the album’s release, with dates below the track.
