Whatever kind of week you were having last week was instantly made better by a new Queens of the Stone Age single, “The Way You Used To Do.” The band announced their new album, Villains, and last night played their first show in nearly two years at Rapids Theatre in Niagara Falls. In addition to giving “The Way You Used To Do” it’s live premiere, they also played another track from the forthcoming album, “The Evil Has Landed.” It’s not, as you might assume, a cover of the Testament track. In fact, with it’s swaggering groove, it sounds a lot more like Them Crooked Vultures than anything QOTSA have done since Josh Homme’s side project.
Villains is out on August 25th on Matador Records and can be preordered here.
