Scale the Summit have announced the title of their fifth full-length album. To be released later this summer, V (get it, the Roman numeral V for five?), the album will be mixed by Jamie King who has worked with fellow prog-metal bands Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist.

This release will be the first without long time drummer Pat Skeffington, who had played on their first four releases. The band made the announcement via Facebook:

“We have parted ways with our drummer Pat Skeffington. Pat is a fantastic drummer and will be greatly missed, we wish him the absolute best in the future! Moving forward, we’d like to officially welcome J.C. Bryant as the new drummer for Scale the Summit. We just finished drum tracking this past weekend for the new album and can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs!”

Scale the Summit will be playing the 2015 Free Press Summer Festival in their hometown of Houston, TX this June along with Mastodon, Pallbearer, Goatwhore and many others.
