Stream Darkest Hour’s furious ‘Godless Prophets & the Migrant Flora’ now

Darkest Hour have been around for over 20 years now, but you wouldn’t know that from listening to their forthcoming album, Godless Prophets & the Migrant Flora. The band’s ninth album, due out on Friday (10), might be their most furious one yet. The intensity doesn’t let up on it from note one, and given the craven attempt at updating the band’s sound to a more radio-ready one on 2014’s self-titled album, it’s a welcome return to form. However, this might be the best the metalcore/melodeath band’s sounded. While former guitarist Kris Norris helped out on the album, This just sounds heavier and more concise than anything they’ve done in years. And hell yeah it’s a shred-fest.
