Lord mantis

Last month, Lord Mantis revealed the NSFW album artwork for their new album Death Mask. Now we’re getting our first taste of the album with a new track dubbed “Body Choke”, the album opener. The track was posted on Noisey along with an interview in which frontman Charlie Fell elaborates on why listeners get a release from listening to their music:

It’s a way to break through numbness – to connect to something; and sometimes the only thing people can connect on is misery. In a way it’s a good feeling it releases you. That whole ‘give no fuck, throw yourself in the gutter feeling,’ that’s the main appeal. It’s what I put in so I hope it’s what you get out. I kill myself so you can from the comfort of your home.

Death Mask will be out April 29 on Profound Lore.
