While Slayer and Maiden are dominating the story as far as September releases are concerned, many fans of doom and sludge are probably looking forward to Windhand’s third album, Grief’s Infernal Flower, which will be released on September 18th. While you may have already gotten a chance to check out the first track from the album, “Two Urns,” they’ve returned with a second track, “Hyperion,” which debuted on Metal Hammer. The sludgy, melodic song is less dirge-like than some of the material on the album, and it’s a grower. By the time the 5:30 track ends, you’ll probably want to listen again.
