Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski has recently shared a clip, urging all to wear a mask. With the number of conspiracy theories that have arisen throughout this pandemic to the effectiveness, masks have proven to help fight off the virus; this COVID-19 nightmare has turned into a matter of politics over listening to science, facts, and data to enforce methods and actions to contain the virus and stopping its spread. With nearing 8.5 million cases and over 225,000 deaths in the U.S alone, masks and science have somehow turned into controversy. Nergal has stepped up via Instagram, speaking to his fans worldwide, emphasizing the importance of wearing a mask and comparing anti-maskers to another growing conspiracy theory: flat earthers.

“Convert anti-maskers to wearing masks reminds me of trying to prove the flatearthers they are wrong. My friend @tomasz_organek got sooo much shit from our country mates for publicity promoting the idea of wearing masks. Well… yes, the rules and procedures often make no sense and seem lacking logic, masks must be switched or washed often so it’s not intoxicating for those who wear them… the list goes on. But hey, we ALL agreed to halt at red light even if there’s no traffic right? Why not temporarily obey this law so everyone around us can feel a lil comfort in those highly uncomfortable times? So even if u don’t believe the mask will save u from getting a disease wear it as a sign of AWARENESS. Makes sense?”
