Based on a recent podcast episode of Another FN Podcast that features Black Veil Brides bassist Ashley Purdy, We Are Harlot’s Jeff George, and Sebastian Bach, Purdy revealed the group are planning to disband after their eight Warped Tour appearances. While this doesn’t entirely confirm the news, we will hopefully receive an official update from the group soon enough. It does seem a bit far-fetched since the band released their fifth studio album Vale this past January.

It wasn’t too long ago when frontman Andy Biersack’s home was robbed and one could think this had something to do with it. However, it’s most likely due to the singer focusing on his solo project under the name Andy Black.

Purdy explained (transcribed by Loudwire):

“We start Thursday at Warped Tour in Pomona and we are going to do eight dates through the southern California area. And that is where you are going to see Black Veil Brides for the last time ever in your entire lives. So, you better fucking go, because that’s gonna be it.”

Later, he reiterated:

“You better see us before you don’t see us.”

A fan asked if Purdy had any upcoming solo plans, he answered:

“To be honest you guys already know that Andy Black is doing his fucking next thing so the rest of us are going to do something separate and easy. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Based on the podcast’s description, “Ashley from Black Veil Brides & Jeff George from We Are Harlot/Sebastian Bach and more swing by for an impromptu drunken summit,” we are curious on how much alcohol could have influenced Purdy’s response.

As the conversation continued, Purdy commented on producer John Feldmann stating:

“Never work with a producer who is a writer. Let them be the fuckin’ producer. There are so many times we have been overwritten.”
