Deicide “picked up” for new album

Posted by on December 29, 2014

It sounds like Deicide is working on their 12th studio album, according to drummer Steve Asheim. This comes from an October interview by Capital Chaos TV with the founding drummer, which was posted just this month.

Said Asheim, on future plans for the band.

“We got picked up for another record, so we got to start working on some new stuff, which we got a couple of songs kind of framed out already. We’re going to busy again, all through next year, the next couple of years it looks like. They’re going to get a record and some more shows, it seems like they’re going to happen.”

We can assume this that it’s Century Media who “picked up” the death metal legends for another album, which would be their third with the label. Their previous album, 2013s ‘In The Minds Of Evil,’ saw first week sales of 2,600 copies in the US.

The band just wrapped up a European tour with Svart Crown and Sawthis.
