Drive like a beast in Chris Holmes’ ’87 Firebird

Posted by on March 18, 2014

Do you have dreams of owning a car that Lita Ford might once have been nailed in? How about one that might have once played a still-unmastered version of The Headless Children? If so, you’re in luck, because  a 1987 Pontiac Firebird owned by former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes is for sale for only $1,500 on Craigslist.

Not so quick, though, it needs a little work. And by that, we mean an overhaul. While it can start and be driven, the seller recommends that it not be driven any distance in its current condition. As you can see, the car’s steering column and much of the interior are in a state of disrepair. The trunk works, but doesn’t have a lock, and there are dents aplenty. It also needs a paint job. You might not want to paint over the hood though, where Holmes scrawled “I love this car. It was my baby.”

The person selling the car for Holmes is doing so because the guitarist is on tour in Europe right now. If you want a piece of rock memorabilia that can rust in your front yard, now’s your chance to get in on the action. Get in touch with the buyer here.
