After-The-Burial-green-screenWe recently interviewed After the Burial’s vocalist Anthony Notarmaso about Sumerian Records, Dig Deep, and the passing of Justin Lowe. You can click here to view the interview. While currently touring with Born of Osiris, Upon a Burning Body, Erra, and Bad Omens, we asked some questions about what his After the Burial dream tour would consist of. You can view his answers below.

What recently formed or relatively new band would you want to open the show?

I don’t know too much about any new bands. When I picture my dream tour, I think it’s different than most people’s responses. Some bands will say they’d want a big or influential band to go out with them, but that’s never been me. My dream tour is the tour with my friends. People like Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Suicide Silence, Monuments, Erra, or Within the Ruins. They’re all my best friends and that’s what makes it worth it to me.

If you had to pick one song from each album to be included in the setlist, which would they be?

Forging a Future Self – “Fingers Like Daggers”

Rareform – “Drifts”

In Dreams –  “Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You”

Wolves Within – “Disconnect”

Dig Deep – “Laurentian Ghosts”

And which three countries would have to included in the run?

I really want to play in Japan. I’ve never been there and I’ve always wanted to go. Australia is great. And you can’t not tour your home so I’d have to do the states. But if we’re talking outside, then anywhere South America just because we haven’t been there.

Any specific venues from those that you would have to perform at?

Just the hometown venues are what stand out. We have such a great fanbase in Minnesota. There’s just no place like home.
