Gene Simmons accuser looks to drop lawsuit

Posted by on April 25, 2019

Jane Doe, the woman who accused KISS frontman Gene Simmons of sexual assault in December 2017, has filed a request to have her case dismissed. Doe worked as a dishwasher at Simmons’ restaurant. She claims that Simmons grabbed her vagina Trump style as she posed for a picture with him at the launch party of Simmons’ family restaurant, Rock and Brews, in 2016. Doe also claimed that Simmons was touching other women’s hands and encouraging them to unbutton their shirt. The Blast reports, the request is asking for the case to be dismissed with prejudice. Due to this type of dismissal request it has been speculated that there has been a settlement reached although the documents do not state whether or not that is the case.

Rock and Brews was also named in the lawsuit because according to Doe, the company knew that Simmons “would engage in unlawful conduct based on previous complaints and lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct.” Simmons co-founded Rock and Brews in 2012. Simmons has settled similar cases in the past with various other women.
