blotharA little more than an hour ago, GWAR played their first show since the death of Dave Brockie to cap off the fifth annual GWAR-B-Q. When we caught up with Brad Roberts, he promised that the band would be going back to their roots. By bringing back Michael Bishop, the original Beefcake the Mighty, as Blothar, a new character, they addressed the lack of Brockie, but many other characters, including Sleazy P. Martini and Slymenstra Hymen, also returned and the band played a powerful 75-minute set that had some in tears at the end of it. While we’ll bring you a full recap of the day soon, the best place to find pics from the full day is our Instagram account.
