Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe to join Pigface for rest of tour

Posted by on November 20, 2019

Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe has announced that he will be extending his run on the Pigface tour. Originally slated to only perform with the band for the first five dates, he will now be joining the industrial supergroup on the road for the rest of the trek.

Blythe commented:

“I am now doing the whole tour! Getting to play with people like Gaelynn Lea is one of the reasons I love being in Pigface so much! Let the industrial madness begin!”

Blythe joins fellow Pigface members Martin Atkins (PIL, Killing Joke), Mary Byker (PWEI, Gaye Bykers On Acid), Curse Mackey (Evil Mothers), En Esch (KMFDM), Lesley Rankine (Silverfish, Ruby), Charles Levi (My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult), Bobdog Catlin (Evil Mothers), Bradley Bills (Chant), Orville Kline (Porn And Chicken), Greta Brinkman (Moby, Druglord), Dirk Flanigan (77 Luscious Babes), who are also on the tour for the long haul. Chris Connelly (Revolting Cocks, Ministry), Danny Carey (Tool), Gaelynn Lea, Leanne Murray, Martin King (Test Dept.), Bruce Lamont (Brain Tenticles), Fallon Bowman, Ali Jafri, Justin Pearson, Phil Owen, Betty X, Add-2, Jim Marcus, Krztoff, Jimi LaMort (Malhavoc), Joe Letz, Laura Gomel, Jesse Hunt, Chris Harris, Mike Reidy, Roger Ebner, Leyla Royale and Joel Gausten will be involved as special guests at various dates throughout the tour.

Pigface are currently on their first tour in nearly 14 years. With the exception of two shows in 2016, the band has remained relatively quiet for nearly a decade. Their last album, 6, was released in 2009.

The band’s drummer and soul consistent member, Martin Atkins, commented:

“I can’t believe it’s been over 14 years since we were out on tour. If anything, it feels more powerful, more connected, more dangerous, more exciting and more important than it ever has before. For all of us; band and audience included. The fact that Randy, Danny, Lesley, Mary, En Esch, Curse, everyone, gives so readily to this thing is nothing but amazing to me on a daily basis.”

The tour will continue to cross the US through November 30 in Chicago, IL. A second, matinee show has been added to that date due to popular demand. You can check out fan videos of Pigface (plus Blythe) playing in Toronto and Rochester, NY on YouTube now.
